Children's Ministry

Creekside Children’s Ministry works alongside parents to provide
LIFE-shaping experiences in which children grow to:

Love God's Son

Our Children'sWorship, also known as Creekside 2-5-2, is designed for children in Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Creekside 2-5-2 is held weekly during the 6:00 p.m Saturday evening and 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship services. This worship time for children is led by a team of kid-loving, enthusiastic adults and teens. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary and exit at the onscreen prompt. Parents pick children up from Hinman Hall after worship. During Creekside 2-5-2, children are led to understand the importance and richness of living in ways that please God. Through high energy WORSHIP and relationship-building small groups children are challenged to live their faith 24/7. Have your child check out Creekside 2-5-2 this Sunday!

Obey God's Word

Creekside Sunday School meets Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 AM beginning the Sunday after Labor Day until the first Sunday in June. Our staff is committed to the DISCIPLESHIP of the children in our faith community. Creekside teachers plan child friendly Bible lessons and activities which help children look closely at God's Word and grow in their faith and knowledge of Scripture. We strive to ensure that active participants in our Sunday School program will develop an understanding of Jesus' love for them, build habits that encourage spiritual growth, and find wisdom to live a life of Godly character. Our Sunday School is staffed by caring teachers who model the love of Jesus Christ and His teachings.

Serve God's People

Children need to explore their world through hands-on activity. It is no different when they take on the task of learning about MINISTRY. Our Creekside Kids on a Mission program allows children the opportunity to be involved in serving others with child-friendly service opportunities that benefit the needy in our surrounding community and local church. We choose projects that allow for children to be actively involved in caring for others through the use of their time and talents. Some examples of service projects at Creekside are preparing side dishes to contribute to a Meal Ministry or Shelter, preparing non-perishable food kits or toiletry kits for homeless people, having a greeting card ministry for fellow church members on our prayer list, and creating gifts for nursing home participants.

Share God's Grace

Our greatest desire at Creekside is that every child who enters our doors will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, believe the truth, and learn to share it with their friends. In our Children's Worship time, God's saving Grace through the death and resurrection of his One and Only Son, Jesus Christ is taught both at strategically planned times as well as when the Spirit leads. We also work to teach our children to invite their friends and family to hear about God's Love by joining us at Creekside any time of the year. However, a concerted effort of EVANGELISM is made each year during our Vacation Bible School week. Our own Creekside Friends are given two invitations to give to children they know from their school or neighborhood. In this way, our ministry is reaching more and more children with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
